Q: IS ADVENTURE ROOMS SCARY?

A: No. There are no horror elements to our games. There is nothing that will chase, scare or frighten players. It is a safe and exciting game suitable for all ages.

 

Q: WHO CAN PARTICIPATE AT ADVENTURE ROOMS?

A: Everyone can participate! We are a fun and unique outing for small and large groups like the ones below.

Families, friends, anniversaries, stag & hens nights, birthday parties, tourists, first dates, pre-dinner activities, leaving events, sports groups, corporate team-building and so much more. We also welcome teachers and lecturers with students for an interesting class outing.

Our building has bathroom facilities, is 100% wheelchair accessible and we are happy to discuss any requirements your team players may have.

Q: DO WE NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT TO RESERVE THE ROOM?

A: When booking online you will be required to pay a $72 deposit to reserve the room. The remaining balance can be paid on the day of your booking.

 

Q: AM I ACTUALLY LOCKED IN THE ROOM?

A: Of course not! You can exit the game at any time through designated emergency doors.

 

Q: IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PLAYERS?

A: 2 Player minimum.

 

Q: IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

A: We feel that our games are best suited for players aged 16 and above, however if you are aged 15 and below you are more than welcome with an accompanying adult. For duel groups there must be 1 adult per team. If no adult is present players may not be able to participate. For any queries in regards to this policy please contact us on 07 347 7733 prior to booking.

 

Q: WHERE IS ADVENTURE ROOMS LOCATED?

A: 1142 Pukuatua St, right in the heart of Rotorua’s CBD.

There is non paid, paid parking and a secure car park on Pukuatua street just a minute walk from our building.

 

Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

A: Just you, your brain and your team-mates are required in an adventure room.

We have safe storage for all personal belongings in the room with you while you escape.

 

Q: HOW MUCH DOES AN ADVENTURE ROOM COST?

A: Prices start at $36 Per player with a minimum of 2 players per game.

The more players you have, the cheaper it is per player.

We require a $72 non-refundable deposit to reserve your room.

Q: HOW LONG DOES AN ADVENTURE ROOM TAKE?

A: A standard booking slot is for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Please allow for 1 hour and 20 minutes approx. This will include: An explanation of the rules at the start, 60 minutes to play the game and a team photo at the end.

The duel event may take approx 10-15 minutes longer for the reset so please allow 1 hours and 30 minutes in total.

 

Q: ARE BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL?

A: Yes! Adventure Rooms is normally open by appointment only, so you must book ahead.

 

Q: CAN I HOST A SPECIAL CORPORATE TEAM BUILDING EVENT HERE?

A: Adventure Rooms Rotorua is a perfect activity for corporate team-building.

Q: WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?

A: We are open 7 days a week in all weather conditions.

Office hours will vary dependent on bookings.

Closed on Christmas.

Q: HOW FAR OUT CAN I RESERVE A ROOM?

A: You can secure a room up to 2 years in advance.

Q: DO YOU SELL GIFT VOUCHERS?

A: Absolutely. We have options for gift vouchers for Standard or Duel Adventures which can be customized to suit your needs.

These are a perfect birthday, Christmas or special event present.

Q: I NEED TO CHANGE THE TIME OF MY BOOKING WHAT DO I DO?

A: In your email booking confirmation you will find a button with ‘Amend booking’ please use the widget to adjust your time or if you need to please call us on 07 347 7733 and we will be happy to help.

 

Q: WE HAVE BOOKED FOR 5 PLAYERS BUT MORE WOULD LIKE TO PLAY. DO YOU ACCEPT EXTRA PEOPLE IN A ROOM RESERVATION?

A: The more the merrier! Any additional players can be paid for on the day. We always advise that calling ahead is best so we can make sure there is plenty of time and room for you.

 

Q: I HAVE A VOUCHER BUT THE CODE IS NOT WORKING, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

A: Make sure you are booking the amount of people the voucher is for. For example, if your voucher is for 2 players you must book for 2 players otherwise the voucher will not work. If you would like to add extra players on top of your voucher please contact us on 07 3477733 after you have booked and let us know how many extra players you would like to bring and we will advise of the difference in cost. If you are entering all details correctly and booking for the group size on the voucher but it’s still not working do not continue with the booking please call us straight away on 07 3477733 as once a deposit has been paid for a booking a voucher cannot be applied.

 

Q: DO YOU LICENSE OR FRANCHISE YOUR ROOMS?

A: Yes, Adventure Rooms is always excited about launching more rooms! Please contact us directly for more details.

 

Q: DO YOU HAVE A CANCELLATION POLICY?

A: Yes. No deposits will be refunded. Changes to bookings must be made no later than 48 hours prior to your booking. We advise paying just the deposit when booking as we do not provide refunds for no shows. Cancellations made online will result in loss of deposit. Please contact us on 07 347 7733 if you can’t make your booking and if it is more than 48 hours prior to your booking.
